Dr. Nawar Issac, DMD

He understands that the thought of oral surgery can feel intimidating, and he is committed to helping patients feel informed, comfortable, and well cared for throughout their treatment.

Dr. Issac completed his initial dental and surgical training in Syria, where he practiced for eight years before relocating to the United States. He later earned his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from Tufts University.

In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Issac is deeply committed to dental education. He serves as a faculty member at Harvard, Tufts, and Boston University Schools of Dental Medicine, as well as New York University’s Langone Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program. In these roles, he teaches and oversees dental students and residents as they develop their clinical and surgical skills.

Giving back has been an important part of Dr. Issac’s career both in Syria and the United States. While practicing in Syria, he provided free dental care to refugees displaced from their homes. After moving to the U.S., he continued volunteering within underserved communities and has contributed to public health initiatives surrounding community water fluoridation.

For Dr. Issac, dentistry is about more than clinical expertise—it is an opportunity to use his experience to make a meaningful difference for his patients, his students, and the communities he serves.
